In this first article on the TURMERIBLENDS blog, we explore the potential health benefits of its four ingredients, with a special focus on curcumin, one of the main active compounds in turmeric root.
Drawing on scientific studies available through the U.S. National Library of Medicine, we review the evidence on their properties and their potential contribution to overall wellness.

Turmeric Benefits
Anti-Inflammatory Properties
This study examines the anti-inflammatory properties of curcumin, the key functional compound in turmeric root, as well as its low bioavailability, meaning how poorly the body absorbs it.

Black Pepper Benefits
Better Curcumin Absorption
When combined with curcumin from turmeric root, piperine, the active compound in black pepper, helps the body absorb more curcumin. It works by temporarily slowing down certain liver enzymes that would otherwise eliminate curcumin from the body. This human study found that combining 2,000 mg of curcumin with 20 mg of piperine increased curcumin’s bioavailability by about 20 times compared with curcumin alone.
On its own, piperine has also shown anti-inflammatory properties, as explored in this study.

Apple Cider Vinegar Benefits
Anti-Inflammatory Properties
This study examines how apple cider vinegar may promote an anti-inflammatory response in the body.
Scientific Studies
Curcumin is one of the most widely researched natural compounds in science. Studies have explored a wide range of potential benefits, but they share one key limiting factor: the body absorbs curcumin very poorly. That’s exactly the challenge the TURMERIBLENDS formula is designed to address.
Drawing on scientific studies available through the U.S. National Library of Medicine, we review the evidence on their properties and their potential contribution to overall wellness, including their role in supporting a healthy inflammatory response.
